New Delhi, January 15, 2021: A war in the minds of all Indians commences as the day of the vaccination campaign against the Coronavirus, 16 January ie Saturday, broods closer.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country on the morning before the commencement of the vaccination campaign in India tomorrow or Saturday. It is believed that after addressing the nation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will start a nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign through video conference on the morning of 16 January. This will be the world’s largest vaccination campaign.

The vaccination campaign, proving to be the ultimate weapon in India’s fight against the Corona pandemic, will be held daily from 9 am to 5 pm, except for the scheduled days for the regular immunization schedule. In the first campaign of vaccination, the corona vaccine will be given to the country’s health workers and front line workers first. After this, the vaccine will be given to those above 50 years of age and then those within 50 years of age will be given Corona vaccine, who have diabetes, hypertension, heart, kidney, or any other related disease.

This will be PM Modi’s second address to the nation in the last few months. Earlier in the month of October, PM Modi addressed the country and reminded people to keep fighting the war against Corona, even after the lockdown was lifted. Adequate doses of vaccines have been sent to all the states and union territories.

Through this program, 3006 locations of all states and union territories will be connected through digital and 100 beneficiaries will be vaccinated at each center. This campaign will be carried out on a priority basis under the principle of public participation in which the first phase will be vaccinated by health workers and ICDS personnel from the government and private sectors. A digital platform named Co-Win (Covid Vaccine Intelligence Network) has also been created to run the vaccination campaign smoothly and monitor the vaccine delivery program.

A 24-hour and seven-day call center and helpline (1075) have been set up by the government to address questions related to the Covid-19 epidemic, vaccination, and its digital platform. Apart from this, sources said that during this time the Prime Minister can also communicate with some health workers from different parts of the country through video conference.

According to sources, officials of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) and Safdarjung Hospital in the capital have said that they are ready with all necessary arrangements for two-way communication.

The Health Ministry announced, “The Prime Minister will launch a nationwide Covid-19 vaccination campaign on January 16. This will be the world’s largest vaccination campaign. Therefore, after consulting the President’s Office, the Health Ministry has decided that Polio Vaccination Day, which is celebrated as Polio Sunday, should be changed to 31 January.”
