Fake Certificate Scandal Unfolds in Pune, Deputy Commissioner of Examination Council Files Complaint

Pune, 5th July 2024: A fake certificate allegedly issued by the Deputy Commissioner of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination has been discovered, leading to a case being registered at Deccan Gymkhana Police Station in Pune. The individuals accused in this incident are Sahdev Nimbhore from Ahmednagar, Nilesh Rathod, and an unnamed woman from Sangamner.

Deputy Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Rathod of the Maharashtra State Council of Examination filed the complaint after discovering the forged certificate, which bore a counterfeit stamp and Rathod’s forged signature. Upon verification, it was established that the certificate was indeed fake. Following this, the police summoned the woman for questioning, during which it was revealed that Nimbhore and Rathod had provided her with the certificate.

The exact motive behind the creation of this fake certificate is currently under investigation. One line of inquiry suggests it may have been intended for use in teacher recruitment, although this has not been confirmed. Further investigations are being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Mahesh Bhosle from Deccan Gymkhana Police Station to ascertain the full extent of the situation and to gather more details regarding the involvement of the accused parties.
