Employment Fair To Be Organised In Pune On July 27 – Ajit Pawar

Pune, 20th July 2024: Maharashtra State Deputy Chief Minister and District Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar asserted that a provision of 25 thousand crores has been made for the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, which was started for the women in the state. The benefits of this scheme will be distributed starting from the month of July.

Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, Cooperation Minister Dilip Valse Patil, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Council Dr. Neelam Gorhe, senior leader MP Sharad Pawar, MP Medha Kulkarni, Supriya Sule, Shrirang Barne, Dr. Amol Kolhe, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Chandrakant Pulkundwar, Collector Dr. Suhas Diwase, District Planning Officer Kiran Indalkar, and others attended the meeting held at Vidhan Bhavan.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar announced that 4 lakh 29 thousand applications have been received in the district under the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana. Female applicants who submitted their applications in August will also receive benefits starting in July. The scheme is expected to cost around Rs 3,500 crore every month, ensuring that every eligible woman can benefit from it. Facilities have been provided in both urban and rural areas to facilitate the application process.

An employment fair has been organized in Pune on July 27 to provide training opportunities to the youth under the Chief Minister’s Youth Employment Training Scheme. This scheme aims to give youth real work experience, which can help them secure good employment in the future. Many industries have expressed their willingness to cooperate with this scheme, with the potential for trainees to receive permanent employment based on their performance. Ajit Pawar highlighted this scheme as a valuable opportunity for youth employment.

The meeting also addressed pollution in the district’s rivers and dams. Discussions will be held with the Industries Minister regarding pollution in the MIDC area. The District Collector has been instructed to issue notices about setting up sewage treatment plants in resorts around Pavana Dam. Measures will be taken to ensure that sugar factories do not release impure water into the river, with discussions to be held with factory representatives. Ajit Pawar appealed for cooperation from people’s representatives in these efforts.

Pawar emphasized the importance of dengue prevention measures in urban and rural areas, providing necessary manpower in primary health centers, and innovative measures for anti-drone initiatives by the police. He also instructed PMRDA to implement waste water and waste management measures in the Khadakwasla dam area and ensure the purchase of good-quality sports materials, including international-quality mats for wrestling.

Ajit Pawar also urged people’s representatives and members to suggest development works that are not receiving funds from central and state government schemes through the district annual plan.

Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil provided information about the waiver of education fees for female students. This scheme has been implemented for a total of 642 courses, with a budget of 1,800 crore rupees. The fee reimbursement will be deposited into a separate bank account opened by the college for the scheme in September. Colleges have been instructed to appoint independent professors to coordinate the scheme and inform students about it. Information about the plans for students in 6,000 colleges across the state will be provided on July 25.

MLAs Uma Khapre, Yogesh Tilekar, Amit Gorkhe, Dattatray Bharne, Dilip Mohite Patil, Ashok Pawar, Sunil Tingre, Chetan Tupe, Sunil Kamble, Sunil Shelke, Sangram Thopte, Madhuri Misal, Rahul Kul, Bhimrao Tapkir, Sanjay Jagtap, Siddharth Shirole, Atul Benke, Ravindra Dhangekar, and Ashwini Jagtap were present in the meeting. District Planning Committee Member, Pimpri Chinchwad Police Commissioner Vinoy Kumar Choubey, Municipal Commissioner of Pimpri-Chinchwad Shekhar Singh, Superintendent of Police Pankaj Deshmukh, PMRDA Commissioner Yogesh Mhase, Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer Santosh Patil, and others were also in attendance.

In the meeting, issues such as the Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, Chief Minister Yuva Karya Training Yojana, pollution in district rivers, conservation of forts, Purandar and Janai Shirsai Yojana, police accommodation in Dehu and Alandi, leopard-prone areas, and manpower in primary health centers were discussed.

Approval of Expenditure under District Annual Plan:
In the District Planning Committee meeting chaired by Guardian Minister Ajit Pawar, the expenditure of Rs 1,004.99 crore under the General District Annual Plan for 2023-24, Rs 134.99 crore under the Scheduled Caste Upyojana, and Rs 51.11 crore under the Tribal Component Program was approved.

An outlay of Rs 1,256 crore under the General District Annual Plan, Rs 145 crore under the Scheduled Castes Upyojana, and Rs 55.89 crore under the Tribal Component Program has been finalized for 2024-25. During the state-level meetings, it was informed that an increased fund of Rs 256.89 crore has been approved by the government for Pune district in 2024-25 as compared to 2023-24.

The members were informed about schemes such as Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana, Chief Minister Vyoshree Yojana, Chief Minister Yuva Karya Training Yojana, Chief Minister Annapurna Yojana, and the 100 percent tuition fee waiver for college students in professional courses.
