Dr. Shivraj Manaspure Takes Charge as Chief Public Relations Officer for Central Railway

Mumbai, 17th May 2023: Dr. Shivraj Manaspure, an MBBS and MD in Physiology, has assumed the role of Chief Public Relations Officer (CPRO) for the Central Railway. He belongs to the 2011 batch of the Indian Railway Traffic Service. Dr. Manaspure takes over from Shivaji Sutar, who has been appointed as the Director of Information and Publicity at the Railway Board.

Prior to his appointment as CPRO, Dr. Shivraj Manaspure served as the Senior Divisional Commercial Manager for the Bhusaval Division of the Central Railway. He has held various positions within the Central Railway, including Divisional Operation Manager for the Solapur Division, Deputy Chief Operation Manager in the Construction Department in Mumbai, and Senior Divisional Operation Manager for the Mumbai Division.

Dr. Manaspure has been recognized for his exceptional performance in train operations. He was awarded the General Manager’s Zonal award in 2016 for his outstanding contributions to train operations in the Solapur Division. In addition, he received the Best Punctuality Zonal Shield in 2019-20 for his outstanding management of local suburban trains and mail express trains in the Mumbai division. His efforts have played a vital role in enhancing the infrastructure of the Mumbai Division, enabling the smooth running of suburban and mail/express trains. Dr. Manaspure also played a pivotal role in the rationalization of the suburban time table, resulting in additional suburban services. Furthermore, he was instrumental in the planning and execution of the completion of the Thane-Diva new 5th and 6th lines, successfully managing maintenance blocks while ensuring uninterrupted suburban train services for approximately 180 days.
