Dr Sanjay B. Chordiya announced scholarship to 500 family members of Policemen, Armed Forces, Veer Naaris and Veer Purush for various short duration courses
Suryadatta Group of Institutions organized Suryadatta Edu-Socio Connect initiative – 2017 for the welfare of family members of Policemen, Armed Forces, Veer Naaris and Veer Purush on 31st July 2017. Hon’ble Shri Maninderjeet Singh Bitta Ji, Chairman – All India Anti-Terrorist Front, presided over the event as chief guest; and Hon’ble Prof. Dr. Nitin Karmalkar, Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, presided as the Guest of Honour. Over thousand students from various institutions of the Suryadatta Group greeted the guests.
Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, Founder President of Suryadatta Group of Institutions, introduced the chief guest and the guest of honour, which was followed by traditional lighting of lamp by the guests. A dance performance was given by the senior girls of Suryadatta National School on the song of Des Rangila. ‘Aye mere watan ke logo’ was sung by Aditi Shrivastava of Class VIII, which enthralled the audience, reminding them of the sacrifices of our brave men in uniform. During his opening speech, Dr. Chordiya appealed to students to think of the soldiers who laid down their lives, and take inspiration for them for selfless service.
Hon. Prof. Dr. Karmalkar, Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, was felicitated by Hon’ble Shri M.S. Bitta, who in turn was felicitated by Dr. Chordiya. Hon’ble Shri Bitta ji was awarded the ‘Suryadatta Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Bravery Award – 2017’. Following this, Hon’ble Shri Bitta ji addressed the audience. Hon’ble Shri Bitta ji stressed on how love for motherland is superior to all countrymen, and nobody need to feel shy from praising one’s motherland. He highlighted how our men in uniform face difficult situations in line of duty, and embraced martyrdom without any second guess.
Hon’ble Shri Bitta ji mentioned that Suryadatta Group of Institutions is one such institute series of such social events are conducted, and various skill development courses are given for all strata of society.
After Hon’ble Shri Bitta ji’s address, Prof. Karmalkar addressed the audience. Prof. Karmalkar insisted how youth of our country can voluntarily give some years of their life for their country by serving in various arms of our defense forces. After the address, the guests of honour felicitated the veer naaris that were present for the occasion.
Hon’ble Prof. Dr. Nitin Karmalkar, Vice Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University, appreciated for work of Suryadatta Group of Institutes for conducting such various social & patriotic initiative for imbibing good values among the students & for holistic development of students. Hon’ble Prof. Dr. Nitin Karmalkar mentioned how he also got inspired by Hon’ble Shri Bitta ji’s address.
Veer naaris were felicitated and honoured by honble Prof. Dr. Karmalkar, Hon’ble Shri. M. S. Bitta, Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya, and Mrs. Sushma Chordiya during this occasion. The veer naaris lost their loved ones during Operation Meghdoot, Operation Parakram, Operation Vijay, 1971 Indo-Pak War, Kargil War, and anti-terrorist operation. Prof. Dr. Sanjay B. Chordiya announced free scholarships to family members of Policemen, Armed Forces, Veer Naris and Veer Purush for various short duration courses (Skill development courses). This courses will be offered for free of cost from 1st August 2017 to 30 July 2018. The Skill Development courses are Fashion Designing, Interior Designing, Spoken English, Baker and Cookery, Travel and Tourism, Computer Literacy, Foreign Language, Artifical Jewellery Design, Beauty and Make-up, Making 50 types of spices apart from jam, jelly and sauce.
Sarees were gifted to all the narees, in advance as a token of appreciation for the Rakshabandhan,
The event was concluded with poetry and doha by Mr. Sudhir Kushwaha and Mr. Sandeep Dipalkar.
Various persons from Social, Education, industry, Staff members & over 1000 students of Suryadatta Group of Institutes were present for one of its unique social Initiative organized at its Bavdhan Pune Campus.
