Double crowns for Rahane and Kkaira at 12th Om Dalvi Memorial Matoshree Varadvinayak Trophy AITA U18 Super Series Tennis Tournament 2022

Pune, 11th November 2022: Top seeded Nishit Rahane and Second seeded Kkaira Chetanani won memorable double crown winning the singles and the doubles event at the Om Dalvi Memorial Matoshree Varadvinayak Trophy AITA U18 Super Series Tennis Tournament 2022 organized by Om Dalvi Memorial Trust under the auspices of the AITA, MSLTA, PMDTA and played at Maharashtra Police Tennis Gymkhana, Aundh Tennis Courts.

 

In the boys singles finals 12th standard student of BMCC College, top seeded Nishit Rahane ended the challenge of sixth seeded Sahil Tambat 6-2,6-3 to claim the title. Nishit practices at Deccan Gymkhana under coach Sandip Kirtane. Nishit partnering with Jay Dixit winning the boys doubles title, the pune duo outplayed the pair of Sarth Bansode and Azmeer Shaikh 6-3, 6-4 to lift the title.

 

In the girls section finals, 11th standard student of SP College second seeded Kkaira Chetanani stopped fourth seeded Sejal Bhutada 6-4, 6-4. Kkaira practices at Bounce tennis academy under coach Kedar Shah and Aniket Wakankar. Second seeded Kkaira Chetnani and Sejal Bhutada the maharashtra duo beat Shruti Nanajkar and Devanshee Prabhudesai 6-2, 6-2 to claim the girls doubles title.

 

The singles winner got trophy, certificates and 50aita points, while runner up received trophy certificates and 40aita points. The prizes were given away at the hands Mr.Ranjit Shitole of Matoshri Developers, Mr.Sunil Dalvi, Retd customs officer and Mr.Umesh Dalvi and Mr.P. Sunil trustee of Om Dalvi Memorial Trust.Mr.Maruti Raut, Tournament Supervisor Leena Nageshkar were present on the occasion.
