Double crown for Tavish Pahwa at MSLTA Ramesh Desai Memorial under 12 Sub-Junior Tennis Nationals
Mumbai, February 26: Haryana lad Tavish Pahwa lifted a memorable double crown adding the Boys singles title to the doubles title he won , while Orrisa girl Aahan upset top seeded Anandita Upadhyay to lift the of the Girls singles title at the 16th MSLTA Ramesh Desai under 12 Memorial Junior Tennis Nationals being hosted by the Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) at the G. A. Ranade Tennis complex.
In the boys finals, 6th standard student of Shiv Nadar School, Faridabad top seeded Tavish Pahwa scored a 6-2, 6-2 win over second seeded Fazal Meer Ali of Tamilnadu to claim the title. He practices at N-Kor Tennis ACADEMY, Faridabad under coach Maninder Singh. Recently,he won singles title at the National Series Under 12, held at Karnal, Haryana in the last week of January 2022.
In the girls finals 12 year old 6th standard student of St. Xaviers High School, Bhubaneswar second seeded Aahan upset top seeded Anandita Upadhyay of Haryana 6-4, 6-1 to lift the title. She practices at Ace Base Tennis Academy under coach Ajay Nishank. Recently she won singles title at the National Series Under 12, held at Karnal, Haryana in the last week of January 2022.
The singles winner got a 200AITA Points, trophy and certificates, while runner up got 150AITA Points, trophy and certificates. The singles prizes were given away at the hands of Mr.Bharat Oza, President of MSLTA, MSLTA CEO and Tournament Director Manoj Vaidya, ITF White batch referee Vaishali Shekatkar were present on the occasion.
