Divide Pune District; Name Area Of Pimpri-Chinchwad As Shivneri District: Mahesh Landge
Akurdi, 15th May 2023: BJP MLA Mahesh Landge has demanded from Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis that Chinchwad City and adjoining areas should be named the ‘Shivneri’ district.
State Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis is on a Pimpri-Chinchwad tour for the inauguration of development works. In his presence today, MLA Mahesh Landge demanded that the Pune district should be divided and the area along Pimpri-Chinchwad should be named Shivneri as a district.
Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Pune Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil, MLA Anna Bansode, Police Commissioner Vinay Kumar Choubey, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Shekhar Singh, and others were present at the event.
Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the GDM theater in Akurdi. It has been opened for the audience from today.
