Khadakwasla, 5th December 2023: Defence Institute of Advanced Technology (DIAT), Pune, and IEEE AP-S, MTT-S, & EMC-S Joint Chapter, Pune jointly organized symposium on “Electromagnetics for Humanity” from 4-5 December, 2023 at C. V. Raman Auditorium, DIAT Pune.

The objective of this symposium is to bring together eminent academicians, scientists, corporate executives, researchers, technocrats and experts at a common platform for exploring present technological advances and innovations which plays key role on Electromagnetics. These advancements in electromagnetics are revolutionizing in the field of 5G, Wireless Communications, Space and Defence Technologies, Electromagnetic Sensors, Industrial Electromagnetics, Photonics, and treating diseases, enhancing the quality of healthcare.

Around 150 participants including officers from Tri-Services participated in the inaugural session. The inaugural talk was delivered by renown Prof. A. Paulraj, Professor Emeritus, Stanford University USA and also the expert talks from some eminent speakers including academia across the country was organized. The symposium was also attended by Gen. J. J. Singh, Former Chief of Army Staff, Dr. S. K. Pal, Ex-ISRO Scientists and Former, VC-DIAT, Prof. Edip Niver, New Jersey Institute of Technology, USA, Dr. Ajay Poddar, Chief Scientist, Synergy Microwave, New Jersey, USA, Mr. Muralidharan, CTO, Strategic Electronics, Tata Power, Mumbai, Shri Naresh Chand, University of IIinois, USA & Prof. G. S. Mani, Former Director, IAT including other dignitaries.

Dr. C. P. Ramanarayanan, Vice Chancellor, DIAT welcomed all the eminent speakers and thanked all participants including organizing team for successfully organizing such important symposium at DIAT (DU) Pune.
