DG NCC Lt. Gen. Gurbirpal Singh Reviews Training Initiatives at Pune Group HQ
Shivajinagar, 3rd September 2024: Director General National Cadet Corps (DG NCC), Lt Gen Gurbirpal Singh, visited Gp HQ Pune to review the training activities of the World’s largest uniformed youth organization, on 03 Sep 2024. The General Officer was briefed by Brig Arjun Mitra, Gp Cdr of Pune Group on the various training, Social Service and adventure activities undertaken.
Prior to reaching the HQ of Pune Group, the General Officer visited INS Shivaji at Lonavala to review the All India Nau Sainik Camp which terminated on 02 Sep 2024.
Highlights of the General Officers visit to the Group Headquarters, Pune included discussion on the expansion plan of NCC and critical analysis of the efficacy of training being imparted. The General Officer lauded the efforts of all the NCC units under Maharashtra Directorate and conferred awards on deserving Cadets, Instructors and Civlian Staff under Gp HQ Pune.
