Deepak Maratkar Murder For Dominance Over Red Light Area: Police
Pune, October 10, 2020: Pune City Police have established the motive behind the murder of Shiv Sena Vibhag Pramukh Deepak Maratkar after investigations. According to the police, members of Bapu Nayar gang have killed him over the dispute over dominance over the red light area in Budhwar Peth and financial authority.
According to police, Swapnil Modve, who’s acting chief of the Nayar gang, killed Maratakar through Sani Kolte. Meanwhile, the court has extended the police custody of the arrested accused. Among them are Prashant alias Sani Kolte (25), Rahul Shrinivas Ragir (22), Rohit alias Bala Kamble (22), Rohit Kshirsagar (21) SAndeep Kolte (23) and Lakhan Dhavare (30).
All the accused are seasoned criminals who have been wanted in many other crimes, said the police.
