Currency Note to Coin Exchange kiosk’ at Pune station
27 December 2019, Pune- Pune division of Central Railway has installed a ‘ Currency Note to Coin Exchange kiosk’ at Pune station which will facilitate passengers getting currency notes exchanged in coins easily at one go as per their requirement. This kiosk is placed adjacent to Booking office, Pune so that the passengers while purchasing their tickets if not have exact change can tender it easily by using of this kiosk. As a result of this, delay in exchange currency notes at the counter can be avoided. This will save valuable time of the passengers to stand in queue. This facility will reduce queue at booking counter as less time will be taken by the booking clerk when exact change will be tendered by the passengers.
With the help of this kiosk railway passenger can change without paying an extra penny. This kiosk is designed to accept notes in the denomination of Rs. 10, 20, 50, 100, 200 & 500 and will dispense coins in various denomination.
This contract has been awarded to ICICI Bank, Pune, which will generate railway revenue as well as help the railway passenger.
Pune Division Central railway has taken great initiative to make this attempt successful for enabling passengers having easy access to tender exchange from ‘Note to Coin Exchange Kiosk’.
