Cops Find Gangrape Video In Phone Of Robbery Accused
Bhopal, January 8, 2021: When the police investigated the mobile of an individual accused of robbery, the video of an 18-year-old girl being gang-raped was found. The incident was carried out on 1 January, while the police were later reported only for robbery. Police arrested all the four accused on Thursday evening and a case of gang rape has been registered.
The incident is from Sagar district, 186 km from Bhopal on the first day of the New Year. The victim was returning home from the temple later that afternoon with a relative. On the way, they stopped at the picnic spot Amjhira Pahari area. Here the accused harassed them, took them hostage, and gang-raped the girl after beating the boy.
On January 2, in a complaint to the police, the girl told the police that the accused looted silver jewelry, mobile phones, and cash from her and her relatives.
Samarjit Singh Parihar, in-charge of Cantonment Police Station, said, “The police registered a complaint and started searching for the culprits.”
When the police arrested Gopal Patel and Mohit Patel of Barkheda Khuman village and examined their mobile phones, a video of the gangrape was found in the mobile phone of one of the accused. The police later arrested two more accused, Prakash Patel and Sandeep Patel. Both of them are also residents of this village. ”
The police officer further stated, “When the victim was called to the police station, she said that she did not talk of gang rape because of shame and social fear in the complaint.” Section (376D) of gangrape was then added to the FIR. The accused have confessed their crime.
