Cop Brings Her Baby to Workplace.#SuperCopMom

29th OCT 2018 Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh: Archana Jayant, a woman police constable in Jhansi brought her six-months old baby to police station. Ms Jayant is a mother of two children, one, ten-year old Kanak and baby Kanika. Her husband works in Guragaon.
Her picture with her little one got viral on twitter and soon recieved praises and salutes. People also told her boss to give better facilities to woman cops.
As her picture got attention Uttar Pradesh Police Chief, tweeted that he is exploring crèche options.
Rahul Srivasta, a senior police officer in Uttar Pradesh, tweeted “Meet ‘MotherCop’ Archana posted at kotwali jhansi for whom the duties of motherhood & the department go side by side ! She deserves a Salute !!”
Many people tweeted in reply, some saying that police reforms are necessary in this direction. Some said that an infant room should be opened so that mothers like her could get some relief.

Om Prakash Singh Director General of Police in UP described Ms Jayant as “quintessential 21st century woman” . “He has ordered her transfer to Agra, closer home! The little one brightening Jhansi Police Station, was the inspiration to explore crèche options at every police line.” he added.

Truly there might be some other mothers like her managing her work and baby together. Ms Jayant stands to be an inspiration for all of them. And hopefully will inspire the police force to come up with a solution to this.
