Cloudy Weather Predicted In Pune Amid Heavy Rainfall And Thunderstorms Warning In Marathwada And Vidarbha Over The Next Few Days

Pune, 3rd March 2023: Maharashtra state is expected to experience heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms over the next two to three days, according to the weather department. Farmers and citizens are advised to take precautions.

Anupam Kashyapi, head of the weather forecasting division of India Meteorological Department (IMD) Pune, said, “There is chance of increase in cloud amount very likely from tomorrow afternoon. Also, there is chance of very light to light rain over Pune district/city from 5th March (Sunday) afternoon/evening onward. It is likely to be associated with thundery activity, momentarily strong wind and short spell of moderate intense rain especially on 6 and 7th.”

On Saturday, some areas in Maharashtra are likely to experience heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. On Sunday and Monday, parts of Maharashtra especially Marathwada and Vidarbha are expected to experience heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. Additionally, on Tuesday, some areas in Vidarbha are expected to experience heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. The coastal areas of Konkan-Goa, Central Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha have experienced heavy rainfall in the past three to four days, and this may have an impact on agriculture.

The weather department has issued a warning for farmers to take care of their crops and avoid any damage caused by thunderstorms and heavy rainfall. Citizens are also advised to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this time.
