Citizens To Get Preferred Number For New Series Of Four-Wheeler; Check Details Below!
Pune, 6th September 2024: The Regional Transport Office (RTO) has appealed for an advance application for reserving the preferred number in the new series starting for four-wheeler private vehicles on payment of fee.
The RTO is launching a new series of four-wheeler vehicles soon. It is informed that those who want the attractive and preferred number of private four-wheelers on payment of the prescribed fee must apply in the prescribed format. The application and Dhanakarsh (DD) will have to be submitted in person along with an attested copy of address proof, Aadhaar card, identity card, and PAN card today (September 6) between 10.30 am to 2.30 pm at the new registration section of the office.
It is also informed that if more than one application is received for the same number, their list will be posted on the office notice board. Applicants on the list should submit a Dhanakarsh (DD) for the auction in a sealed envelope on Monday (September 9) by 2.30 pm in the office.
The said deposit should be at least above Rs 301 and should be from a Nationalized or Scheduled Bank located in Pune in the name of ‘RTO Pune’. On the same day at 4 PM, the preference number will be allotted to the applicant who submits the maximum amount of deposit by opening the envelopes in front of the eligible person in the presence of the Deputy RTO and Assistant RTO at the Sahakar Auditorium at RTO Office.
Registration number once reserved cannot be changed. If the vehicle is not submitted for registration within six months from the date of reservation of registration number, the reserved registration number will automatically be canceled and the fee paid will be credited to the government treasury. It is also informed that the fee provided for reservation of any particular registration number shall not be refunded or adjusted under any circumstances.
Application form in prescribed form for the preferred number along with sample authorization letter of representative in case of representative is available in the office during office hours. Deputy Regional Transport Officer Pune has informed that only the vehicle owners whose address is within the jurisdiction of the RTO are advised to apply.
