CHANGE OF COMMAND AT INS SHIVAJI

Commodore K Srinivas assumed command of INS Shivaji, the Indian Navy’s premier marine engineering training establishment at Lonavla at a ceremonial parade on 23 Feb 2018. He succeeds Commodore KP Arvindan, VSM who moves to Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (IHQ MOD) as Principal Director, Fleet Maintenance after completing 20 months at the helm.
Commodore K Srinivas was commissioned in the Engineering Branch of the Indian Navy on 01 Jan 1990. His career spans over 27 years with the major appointments held being Engineer Officer of INS Viraat, Fleet Engineer Officer of the Western Fleet, Warship Production Superintendent for the Vikramaditya Project (at Russia) and Principal Director of Aircraft Carrier Projects. Prior to taking over command of INS Shivaji, the officer was Principal Director of Fleet Maintenance at IHQ MOD (Navy). He also holds a B. Tech (Marine Engineering), M. Sc in Defence Studies from Madras University and M.Phil from Mumbai University.
