CBSE Conducts Surprise Inspections at 27 Schools in Rajasthan and Delhi
New Delhi, 4th October 2024: On 3rd September 2024, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) carried out surprise inspections at 27 schools across Rajasthan and the National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi to address issues related to dummy schools and verify adherence to its regulations.
According to a CBSE press release, 27 inspection teams—each consisting of a CBSE official and a principal from an affiliated school—conducted these checks. The inspections were executed simultaneously to prevent any preparation by the schools, aiming to provide an accurate assessment of their daily operations and adherence to CBSE guidelines.
The Board emphasized that these inspections were strategically planned to ensure they remained unannounced, reflecting the schools’ genuine practices. CBSE reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining high educational standards and indicated that appropriate measures would be taken against schools violating its norms.
The CBSE also warned that it will continue such inspections to combat the issue of dummy schools and uphold educational quality. The results will be thoroughly reviewed, and non-compliant institutions may face significant penalties. This latest action underscores CBSE’s commitment to ensuring the quality and integrity of education within its affiliated schools.
