CBI ARRESTS A PRINCIPAL OF KENDRIYA VIDHYALAYA FOR ACCEPTING BRIBE OF RS.ONE LAKH

The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Principal of Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Ashok Nagar, Chennai for demanding & accepting a bribe of Rs.One Lakh from the complainant.

CBI registered a case U/s 7 of PC Act, 1988 against the Principal of Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Ashok Nagar, Chennai on the allegations of demanding a bribe of Rs.1.00,000/- from the complainant for considering the admission of his son in the 1st Standard. CBI laid a trap and caught the accused red handed while accepting the said bribe. Searches were conducted at the residential premises of accused at Ashok Nagar, Chennai which led to recovery of certain documents and 3 locker keys.

The accused was produced today before the Principal Special Judge for CBI Cases, Chennai and remanded to judicial custody upto 24.04.2018
