Businessman Kidnapped For Rs 10 Lakh Ransom, Pune Police Arrest Accused From Nepal Border

Wagholi, 8th April 2022: The sleuths from Lonikand police station have rescued a businessman who was abducted from Kesnand and taken to Siddharthnagar district (Uttar Pradesh) along the Nepal border. The accused had demanded a ransom of Rs 10 lakh to release him.

 

The arrested accused are Adil Ali (22) and Abdul Rauf (56), both residents of Jogia Udaipur in Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. They had abducted Ganesh Kondiba Dagde (38), a resident of Biwari village in Haveli taluka of Pune district.

 

According to the police, Dagade is engaged in farming and buying and selling land at Biwari. The accused had bought land from him and given them some security deposit. On March 24, they called him to Kesnand to pay the remaining amount. From there, the accused kidnapped him and took him to their village Jogia Udaipur in the Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. The accused had demanded Rs 10 lakh from his family to release him.

 

They also threatened to kill Dagde if the amount was not paid. His family had paid Rs one lakh to the accused.

 

After getting a complaint, Senior Police Inspector Gajanan Pawar sent a team there and got Dagde rescued.

 

The investigation team included API Nikhil Pawar, PSI Suraj Gore, ASI Mohan Walke, police personnel Balasaheb Sakate, Kailas Salunke, Vinayak Salve, Ajit Farande and Sudhir Ahiwale.
