British Council celebrates the first anniversary of Pune Library and cultural hub

29th August 2018, Pune: British Council brings a fun-filled weekend for children as it celebrates the first anniversary of its Pune library and cultural hub. The Pune cultural hub has evolved over the years into a digital learning centre from an iconic library, after the transformation it went through in September 2017 and with workshops on variety of various subjects such as photography and robotics, British council aims to provide access to creativity and connect people through arts.

Date: 1st September, 2018

Spend your day with a series of Superheroes workshops

The day will see multiple activities welcoming kids under the age of 10.

  • Storytelling session with Superhero Puppets to ignite a spark in children where learning is combined with their love for superheroes
  • To make the day fun and engaging, create a new hero with an introductory Ballet workshop
  • Dream up a Superhero character with a writing workshop and get the creative juices flowing
  • Discover the superhero in you with a screening of Oscar-winning movie, Frozen

Time: 11 am – 4 pm

Registration fee:

o For members – 600 INR/child

o For non-members – 1800 INR/child

Enhance your creativity the Superhero way

Taking the love for superheroes a notch higher, it’s time to make them a part of learning regime of children.

· Ignite the Superhero in you with a Photography workshop on the theme

· For children who like to write, write a story about Superheroes through a writing workshop

· For those who like dancing, dance away like a Superhero with Zumba Fun workshop

· Children can awaken the Superhero in you with Robotics Workshop that combines fun and learning

Time: 11 am – 4 pm

For kids age 11-14 years

Registration fee:

o For members – 600 INR/child

o For non-members – 1800 INR/child

Please note: On registering for family membership, entry for one child will be free for either 1st or 2nd
