Pune, 25th October 2024: Amid confusion and dissatisfaction surrounding ticket distribution for the assembly elections, disturbances have arisen among BJP MLAs and office bearers, along with office-bearers from the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) in Pune city.

A meeting was held on Thursday night at Moti Bagh, the RSS office in Shaniwar Peth. During this time, insights were shared regarding the structure established by the team. BJP officials described the gathering as a routine monthly coordination meeting.

Key attendees included Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh’s Sachin Bhosale, Mahesh Karpe, State Higher and Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, and MLAs Madhuri Misal, Bhimrao Tapkir, Sunil Kamble, Siddharth Shirole, along with State General Secretary Rajesh Pande and BJP City President Dheeraj Ghate.

The BJP has released its first list of candidates for the assembly elections, naming candidates for three constituencies: Kothrud, Parvati, and Shivajinagar, and granting the incumbent MLAs another chance. However, candidates for the Kasba, Pune Cantonment, and Khadakwasla constituencies have yet to be announced, leaving party workers and potential candidates in those areas anxious.

The RSS is actively working to boost voter turnout for the legislative assembly elections, regardless of who the BJP candidate may be. The organization is coordinating efforts through various forums to achieve this goal.
