Patna, 10th April 2024: YouTuber Manish Kashyap, better known online as Tripurari Tiwari, has finally decided to run for election. He has already started his election campaign and declared his intention to contest from a specific Bihar seat. Videos of Kashyap interacting with individuals have appeared online, demonstrating his active social engagement. He has gone into more detail about his motivations for entering the election in these videos.

Kashyap has announced his candidature via his YouTube channel for the West Champaran constituency in Bihar. He is still without a party symbol, though, which raises the possibility that he will run as an independent.

In West Champaran, Kashyap has initiated a grassroots campaign and is in regular contact with the residents. He was seen speaking to the crowd in a video that went viral on his YouTube account. In the video, Kashyap makes accusations against both the Congress and the BJP, voicing his displeasure with the latter for alleged corruption and his dissatisfaction with the former over employment and job-related difficulties. He draws attention to the fact that there isn’t a commoner from West Champaran represented in the parliament.

Remarkable is the fact that on December 23, 2023, Manish Kashyap was released from jail. He had been imprisoned for almost nine months on allegations that he had shared fictitious movies regarding Tamil Nadu’s Bihar labourers. He was released on bail from the Beur jail in Patna.

Kashyap further increased his political activity after being freed. He was first thought to run on a national party ticket, but he is currently running as an independent.
