Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering received ‘Best Internship Record award’

Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune has been received Best Internship Record award by AICTE – Internshala. College ranked to 6th at all India level and 1st Position in West Zone in the evaluation.
The award was received by Dr Anand Bhalerao, Principal of the college by the hands of Minister of Human Resource Development Dr Satya Pal Singh and Dr Anil Sahasrabudhe, Chairman AICTE, New Delhi recently.
The Best Internship Record award has been given on the basis of three parameters namely number of students applied for internship, followed by number of students short listed and finally number of students successfully completing the internship. Total 1574 Engineering colleges have participated in this.
Dr. Anand Bhalerao, Principal and Dean, Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University) College of Engineering, Pune (BV(DU)COE) put heartfelt and restless efforts for the internships of students . This has resulted in getting 109 students an internship from April to July 2018.
AICTE is working to improve the employ ability of students and is planning to mandate internships for all the students enrolled in AICTE approved academic institutions. To facilitate internships for all such students, AICTE is exploring partnership with different stakeholders and has identified Internshala as a potential partner. Internshala is lndia’s largest internship platform used by 40,000+ organizations offering 4 lac+ internships every year.
Students studying in Undergraduate and post graduate courses in all the 9 departments of BV(DU)COE registered through this partnership and created success stories of the students’ successful internships. Students have done internships in companies such as Casio India Company Private Limited, IARC, Centre For United Nation, Coupon Baazar, OYO rooms, Uber, India Porta Cabin, Knowlarity Communications, and many more companies of National and International repute.
On this occasion Dr. Bhalerao said ‘This internship gave students about practical knowledge which may make them industry ready personnel. As a pedagogical effect students will get projects from industry and will do remaining academics with better maturity.’
