Today is an era of interdisciplinary considerations, we realize that most of the things are interrelated the seminar helped us understand the interrelationship between music and art with architecture. The basic design subject which is included our syllabus reflects that certain principles are common in any art. Medium for various art forms is different, but the basic principle is the same. These arts are expressed in different forms whether it is audio in music , or cement and bricks in architecture. This first of its kind center in India will find common threads between architecture and various art forms.

Speaking on Symbiotic- Relationship between Art and Architecture, Ar. Rajiv Mishra, Director of Directorate of Arts, Government of Maharashtra said that music, arts and architecture complement each other . . Basic design for architects has always been B for brief, A for appropriateness and approach, S for site, I for innovation and C for construction and that’s how design is created. Art is the expression of human values, therefore art in its various forms helps human beings to express themselves and architecture is one of them. Art is a word that has a purpose which means it is related to sight and context. If a musician loves architecture, it is natural because all his/her thinking and forms are reflected in certain proportions that are reflected in architecture. All the architectural monuments or all the cultural spaces were actually designed for various performances related to many art forms and therefore the mother of art is architecture because it understands all types of functions.Unless people realize that the art is our national value they will not learn to respect it and therefore we should make them realize it.

Sharwari Jamenis, with her colleagues, gave a wonderful presentation on various dance forms, while she also delivered information related to architecture and dance. She elaborated the limitations, the textures and expressions of them.

Dr. Sudnya Mahimkar said Art has a way of reaching deep inside our souls and connect what is inside us, our thoughts, feelings, and perceptions, with outer realities and with our own experiences. There are parallel thoughts between Architecture and music. Music is a constant background of life, it can affect mood to be cheerful and energetic. The good thing about music is that you can choose how you want to feel and it does the magic for you. You should pursue music or any art form and the output you’ll see will be really overwhelming and this journey of learning art will be enriching to you. Art enhances our sensitivity and this evolves throughout our life. She also shared her personal journey of Flute playing and Architecture and how it developed her. She concluded by playing various flute ragas and advised students to live in the moment, spend time appreciating beauty, and do all the things they love.

Wellknown playback Sawani Shende also threw light on the relationship between music and architecture. Dr Sushama Joglekar, a renowned Origami expert imparted knowledge about connection between Origami and Architecture by showing exploring different forms and surface development. The exploration of how paper folding can be used to discover different shapes and forms was truly inspiring for architecture students. She urged students to develop an interest in origami because it is a mix of science and arts. The art is in the visualisation of an object before creating it and the science is in calculating the execution to the exact fold she added.
