Baramati: FIR Registered For Using Defamatory Words Against NCP Supremo Sharad Pawar On Twitter

Pune, 23 March 2021: An FIR has been registered by Pune rural police against two persons for allegedly using defamatory words against Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) supremo Sharad Pawar.

Based on a complaint from Abhijit Jadhav (30), who is the vice president of the NCP unit in Baramati city, the case was registered today at Baramati taluka police station.

A case has been registered at Baramati Police station of Pune rural against two Twitter accounts for using defamatory words against NCP chief Sharad Pawar.

According to police, two Twitter accounts Vedashree and Raje Harshvardhan Shastri allegedly used defamatory words against Sharad Pawar while criticizing him over his statement made during a press conference in Delhi about allegations against Maharashtra Home Minister.

The case has been registered for an offence under section 505(2) of IPC further investigation underway.
