New Delhi, March 21, 2024 – Tata Motors enhances Tiago EV with two new features without a price hike.

In a recent update, Tata Motors, India’s leading automobile manufacturer, has introduced two new features to its electric hatchback, the Tiago EV. The additions include an auto-dimming Internal Rear View Mirror (IRVM) and a front USB Type C charging port. These features are exclusively available in the long-range variants, enhancing convenience and driving experience for customers.

The front USB Type C charging port, equipped with fast charging capabilities, is integrated into the long-range XZ Plus and XZ Plus Tech Lux trims of the Tata Tiago EV. Meanwhile, the long-range XZ Plus Tech Lux variant is furnished with the auto-dimming IRVM.

Featuring a 24kWh battery capacity and a 55kW motor generating 114 Nm of torque, the long-range variant of the Tata Tiago EV delivers impressive performance, accelerating from zero to 60 kilometers per hour in just 5.7 seconds.

Despite the addition of these advanced features, Tata Motors has maintained the competitive pricing of the Tiago EV. The ex-showroom price of the electric hatchback remains unchanged, starting from Rs 7.99 lakh and going up to Rs 11.89 lakh for the top variant.

In the Indian market, the Tata Tiago EV faces direct competition from Citroen’s EC3 and MG’s Comet EV, strengthening the electric vehicle segment and offering consumers a wider range of choices for eco-friendly commuting solutions.
