Art2Day and Heritage India organizes ‘The Yatra Project’

Pune, 29thJanuary 2018:Heritage India and Art2Day have joined hands together to come up with an exclusive series of lecture and activities named as ‘The Yatra Project’, A journey to know your roots. The duo brings this unique opportunity from Thursday 1stFebruary at Art2Day Gallery, Above Skoda Showroom, Bhandarkar Institute Road, Pune from 6pm onwards. The introductory first lecture will be delivered by Dr. G.B. Deglurkar. The commencing session is free and open to all with prior registration.

The ‘Yatra Project’ will conduct nine interactive lectures which also include field trips. The lectures are to be conducted by eminent scholars like Dr. G.B. Deglurkar, Former President Deccan College and Author, Dr. ManjiriBhalerao, Assosciate professor of Indology at Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth, UdayanIndurkar, Indologist, Anand Kanitkar, Archaelogist, Shreenand Bapat, Curator in charge of Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute.

The project is being started with the intention to understand heritage in the company of experts as it is our common responsibility which should be carried forward to next generations. The project comprises of sessions held by distinguished speaker to enlighten and amaze the audience by the immense treasure and to forge a robust understanding of what beautiful possibilities our future may hold. The speakers include Anand Kanitkar speaking on Rock Cut Caves, UdayanIndurkar, speaking on Ecstasy in Stone, ManjiriBhalerao telling us about Discovering the Brahmi script and history of coins, Shreenand Bapat, speaking on Manuscripts and the tour of Bhandarkar Oriental Research Institute and are few to count.
