Pune, 22nd June 2024: Apple has launched the Final Cut Camera app for iPhone users, allowing them to use their iPhone cameras professionally. Announced during the Apple iPad event in May, this app offers advanced camera controls aimed at enhancing the shooting experience for influencers and content creators. The app can be downloaded for free from the Apple App Store, along with the updated version of the editing software Final Cut Pro.

Apple claims that the iPhone serves as the primary camera tool for many influencers, and the Final Cut Camera app is designed to provide a professional-grade video tool with enhanced features. This app is the first time Apple has offered a first-party solution for manual camera controls in a camera app.

The app’s features include the ability to wirelessly connect and control up to four cameras on a single screen, boosting the camera performance of both iPads and iPhones. Users can manually control settings such as white balance, manual focus, shutter speed, and ISO, providing a higher level of precision and customization.

One of the standout features of the Final Cut Camera app is the option to disable the iPhone’s in-built stabilization feature. This is particularly useful for users who shoot with a gimbal and prefer to manage stabilization manually. Additionally, when connected to an iPad, users can view the iPhone’s camera feed on the iPad’s larger display, allowing for more detailed monitoring and control of camera settings while the phone is mounted on a tripod.

Apple emphasized the importance of these manual controls for content creators. “The iPhone is a professional-grade video tool, and with the Final Cut Camera app, we’re providing the necessary controls to enhance the creative process,” stated an Apple spokesperson. This move is expected to significantly improve the shooting experience for users, making the iPhone an even more powerful tool for professional content creation.
