Annual dance concert ‘Arpit’ to enthrall audience with distinctive performances

Pune, August 26, 2019: The audience will get a chance to hear a blend of flute, table and dance at the annual dance concert- ‘Arpit’ (Offerings to Guru) organized by the ‘Rujuta Soman Cultural Academy’ (RSCA) & Rithwik Foundation. The concert will take place on Friday, August 30, 2019 at 6 pm at M. E. S. auditorium of  Bal Shikshan Mandir School, Mayur Colony, Kothrud and it will be free and open to all. This information was shared by Rujuta Soman, Founder of RSCA and famous Kathak dancer.

With an aim to create a platform for its students and help them present their own creativity, the concert supported by Rithwik Foundation for Performing Arts in its second session will showcase performances by senior disciples of the academy. The event will hold a unique performance called ‘Tridhara- An amalgamation of three streams’ which will be performed by Anuradha Pal on Tabla, Debopriya Chatterjee on Flute and Kathak by Rujuta Soman with the melodious accompaniment by Mrunmayee Phatak on vocals and Manasi Joshi on harmonium.

Under the academy, founded and managed by Rujuta Soman, students of all ages from different cities are trained in pure classical form of Kathak. The RSCA aims to extend the boundaries of Indian traditional dance and create a new benchmark in the aesthetics of presentation by using state-of-the-art technology and innovative dance techniques.
