Pune, 20th July 2024: Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra Ajit Pawar attended a public event organized by Appa Renuse Friend Circle and Chintamani Dnyanpeeth Pride English School in Pune today. The event was held to felicitate teachers. During his speech, Ajit Pawar addressed various topics, including his regret about Pune not having its own airport.

Ajit Pawar said, “Pune residents, including me, regret that we do not have a government airport. It should be. What we have now belongs to the Indian Air Force. But we held many meetings for our independent airport. There is no way out. Why do people agree to give land for that? But at one point in time, we will put everything at stake to fulfil the dream of Punekars.”

We have recently passed a resolution in the Maharashtra Legislature Assembly and have sent it to the central government. Thirteen crore people of Maharashtra are waiting for Marathi to get the status of a classical language. We are trying for that.”
