After Argument With Passenger, Man Makes Hoax Bomb Call At Pune Railway Station

Pune, 14th January 2023: Early morning today (January 14), at the Pune train, one individual was detained for placing a hoax bomb call. The government railway police (GRP) searched the station after receiving the call, but nothing was found there.

Shrikant Dhivare, Superintendent Police of the Government Railway Police (GRP) said, “A 32-year-old watchman named Govind Mande called the railway claiming that a bomb had been installed in the Pune railway station. Further investigation revealed that he had a quarrel with another passenger and had phoned the railway police out of rage.”

Dhivare added, “After receiving a call, we searched the station, but nothing was found. The caller seemed to be disturbed.”

Mande was travelling from Manmad to Pune. He currently lives in Katraj, where he was detained, and hails from Parbhani.
