AESA Annual Awards Ceremony Organized by the Architects, Engineers and Surveyors Association

Pune, 22nd March 2025: “Various new & innovative projects are emerging in the construction sector with a competitive spirit. Infrastructure development is taking place in every city across the country, and architects are contributing a lot to this progress. Engineers and architects play a crucial role in giving a new shape to the nation,” stated Ar. Abhay Purohit, President of the Council of Architecture, Ministry of Education, Government of India.
He was speaking at the ‘AESA Annual Awards ceremony organized by the Architects, Engineers & Surveyors Association (AESA). The event was held at Royal Court Banquets on NDA Road. Distinguished guests present on the occasion included Ar. Sanjay Tasgaonkar, AESA Chairman Ar. Mahesh Bangad, President Ar. Rajiv Raje, Convenor Er. Parag Lakde, Ar. Vishwas Kulkarni, and Er. Jayant Inamdar. During the event, Abhay Purohit, Er. Vinayak Pai and Ashok Behere were honored with honorary membership of AESA.
Ar. Abhay Purohit emphasized, “The identity of a city, a region, or a country is determined by its infrastructure and development. If proper infrastructure is not built in line with the country’s growth trajectory, various challenges may arise. Therefore, all stakeholders must continue contributing significantly. AESA is a 50-year-old organization that brings together engineers and architects from different fields. If professionals collaborate effectively, there is no distinction between big and small projects. Over the next four decades, the country will witness massive development, and we have the opportunity to be both witnesses and contributors to this transformation.”
The following awards were presented at the ceremony:
‘Rohan Young Achievers Award’ – Arch. Ankur Kothari, ‘Non-Residential Project Construction Award (Outside Pune City)’ – Phoenix Akila Tower, ‘Single Residential Project Construction Award’ – Arch. Rahul Gore (House of Amby Valley), ‘Non-Residential Hospitality Project Construction Award (Pune)’ – Arch. Omkar Kale, ‘Non-Residential Public & Cultural Award’ – Arch. Ravi Kanhere, ‘Non-Residential Adaptive Reuse Project Award’ – Arch. Hemant Mahajan, ‘Residential Single-Family Home Award’ – Arch. Hemant Mahajan, ‘Single Residential Project Award (Pune)’ – Arch. Darshan Medhi, ‘Pune Residential Standalone Multi-Tenement Building Award’ – Arch. Vinod Dusiya, ‘Residential Group Housing Award’ – Arch. Sitesh Agarwal.
Ashok Behere and Vinayak Pai also shared their thoughts during the ceremony. The event began with a welcome address by Ar. Jayant Tasgaonkar, while Ar. Aloka Kale and Ar. Manali Mahajan hosted the proceedings. Er. Parag Lakade delivered the vote of thanks.
