Action taken in 17 lakh 20 thousand 81 cases of property defacement

Chief Electoral Officer Shri V. L. Kanta Rao said that after execution of Model Code of Conduct, 41 thousand 511 non-bailable warrants have been provided for law and security arrangements in the state from October 6 to November 13, 2018. In addition 4 thousand 120 illegal weapons have been seized and 2 Lakh 61 thousand 452 weapons have been deposited in the police stations.
As many as 17 lakh 73 thousand 941 cases have been registered under property defacement out of which 17 lakh 20 thousand 81 cases have been taken up. Action has been taken in 12 lakh 97 thousand 943 cases by registering 13 lakh 31 thousand 818 cases in Government Property Defacement. Action has been taken in 4 lakh 22 thousand 138 cases by registering 4 lakh 42 thousand 123 cases under Private Property Defacement. 11 thousand 911 cases have been registered on misuse of vehicles.
