Kolhapur, 2nd April 2025: Tanvi R. Sheikh of Kolhapur has secured the 5th rank in Maharashtra in the Civil Judge Junior Division and Judicial Magistrate First Class (2022) examination conducted by the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC).

The examination comprised three stages: preliminary, mains, and an interview. Tanvi began her preparation in 2022, and this was her first attempt. She attended coaching classes in Pune to aid her studies. The examination had a total of 114 vacancies.

Since her college days, Tanvi aspired to become a judge. Her journey was supported by her family, teachers, senior lawyers from the Kolhapur Bar Association, and local judges, who provided valuable guidance.

Speaking about her preparation, Tanvi emphasized the importance of determination and perseverance, as the examination process is long and requires patience. Despite working as an Assistant Public Defender at the Kolhapur Legal Services Authority since 2023, she managed to balance her job and studies efficiently.

Tanvi’s success is particularly meaningful as she fulfilled her late father’s dream of seeing her become a judge. Her father passed away in 2022, and achieving this milestone has been an emotional and proud moment for her and her family.
