Viman Nagar, 9th October 2021: Heavy rains since today afternoon has led to waterlogging in different parts of Pune city. This has also crippled the transport services.
Since 5 pm, hundreds of passengers are stranded at the Pune international airport as they are not able to find cabs to reach their destination. Some people are calling their friends and relatives to pick them.
Nirupama, an entrepreneur, told PunekarNews.in, “I landed at Pune airport around 7 pm. I came out of the airport around 10 pm. My friend Bobby Karnani – Founder President of VNWC picked me and called Senior Police Inspector Bharat Jadhav to get the traffic jam cleared outside the airport. Over 300 people including elderly and kids are stuck in the airport.”
