Puneite  Mrs Hema Kotnis crowned as Elite Mrs India 2016

PUNE: Kalyani Nagar based  beauty Mrs Hema Kotnis  was crowned as the first runner up in the Platinum  category as  Elite Mrs India  title bringing laurels not only for Pune but also for the entire country. The competition was held at Jaipur recently where as many as  twenty four  contestants  from different corners of the country participated in the event vying for different titles.

Addressing a huge media gathering at BDAZL office on her return to Pune, Kotnis  credited her success to her family members, BDAZL ,  a pageant training and finishing school and her well wishers. She said “ It’s a moment of great pride and honour for bagging the prestigious title. The crown is a testimony for women’s empowerment and symbolizes the rise of women power in different fields of human endeavor ,”  she added.

Elaborating further on the grueling grooming sessions, she said “  I underwent pre event grooming and was very clear that the contest is not just about looks but about talent, confidence and the manner in which a person presents oneself. All these thoughts stood with me in good stead and helped in my success ,” she added.

With her ever supporting husband Uday Kotnis by her side, she said that her husband, sons and mother also were strongest pillars of support during her quest for the prestigious title.

BDAZL which is Pune’s premier pageant training and finishing school was the grooming parter for the title. The finale was hosted at the famous Pride Amber Vilas Hotel, Jaipur. Elite India Pageants EIP had officially appointed BDAZL to conduct auditions across Maharashtra and Goa in May wherein several hopefuls from Mumbai, Kolhapur, Nasik , Pune and Nagpur thronged the venue. The shortlisted candidates received one week intensive grooming prior to them flying to Jaipur.

The candidates were schooled on poise, body language, communication, ramp walk and Q and A sessions. Besides, they were also trained in stage specific introductions and were also worked on and rehearsed. BDAZL ladies won 3 of the top 6 prizes. Hema Kotnis won the first runner up Mrs India Platinum  while Farha Anwar bagged the first runner up Mrs India and Suja Krishnan was the second runner up Mrs India Platinum.

The ladies also won a host of ancillary titles like Mrs Perfect 10, Mrs Inspirational, Mrs Catwalk and Mrs Elite Model. Besides this , Pallavi Kaushik was crowned Mrs Style icon, Kajal Agarwal was awarded Mrs Body beautiful while Asma Upare was awarded Mrs Talented and Mrs BDAZL while Sapna Manishankar bagged Mrs Beautiful Smile title.

BDAZL in conjunction with Sanjay Hyundai had announced a grand prize to the most inspirational lady. The key to the swanky new i 20 was handed over to BDAZL queen Hema Kotnis by Social worker Jaya Shetty in presence of General Manager ( Sales) Dexter Fernandes.
