Pune: Rs 323 Crore Approved For Sewage Management In Newly Included Villages In PMC

Pune, 31 August 2021: A project to set up sewage systems in 11 villages included in the Pune municipal corporation (PMC) will be undertaken, for which work worth Rs 323 crore 47 lakh was approved in the standing committee today.
The state government has included 11 villages in the municipal corporation. Work is underway to prepare a development plan (DP) for these villages. Efforts are also being made to provide infrastructure. Assuming that the population of these villages will increase by 18.58 lakh by 2047, it was mentioned in the budget for the construction of the sewage system.
To prepare the plan, the PMC has hired PriMove Infrastructure Development Consultant Pvt. Ltd. as a consultant. According to a report by PrimMove, the estimated cost of the project was Rs 392 crore.
While scrutinizing the applications for this tender, four applications became eligible. Of this, Khilari Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. had submitted a tender of Rs 323.47 crore and it has been approved by the Standing Committee.
The project is for these 11 villages: Shivne, Uttamnagar, Dhayari, Ambegaon Khurd, Ambegaon Budruk, Undri, Uruli Devachi, Fursungi, Mundhwa (remaining Keshavnagar), Sadestaranali, Lohegaon
Project includes
– Length of sewers for sewage treatment – 111 km
Laying of new main sewers – 57 kms
Repair of existing sewers – 14 kms
Number of Sewage Treatment Plants – Two
Keshavnagar – 12 MLD
Manjari- 93 MLD
