Dr Kaustubh Radkar From Pune Completes 27th Ironman

Pune, 19th August 2021: Dr Kaustubh Radkar (39)completed the 26th Ironman Expedition in Estonia in 13 hours 14 minutes and 04 seconds. It was raining all day during the campaign. He also had to overcome very strong winds. Now, he is aiming to finish the Ironman Hamburg, to be held on August 29.

He finished the 3.8 km distance in swimming in 52 minutes and 32 seconds, finishing first in the 35-39 age group. After completing the 180 km distance in cycling in 6 hours 59 minutes and 44 seconds, he completed the distance of 42.2 km in 5 hours 3 minutes and 41 seconds. He finished 830th in the campaign.

He then completed the 27th Ironman European Championship in Frankfurt in 13 hours, 3 minutes, and 15 seconds. Kaustubh was ranked 720th overall. Despite the hot weather during the competition, he finished first in the 3.8 km distance in 52 minutes and 57 seconds. In cycling, after completing the distance of 185 km in 6 hours 21 minutes and 05 seconds, he completed the distance of 42.2 km in 5 hours 35 minutes and 15 seconds. Earlier, Mumbai’s Hardik Patil had completed the Ironman campaign ten times.
