645 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 49,121 Vaccine Doses Administered

Pune, 9 August 2021: A total of 645 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1056 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 49,121 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.

 

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8093 active patients in the district and 4554 of them are admitted to hospitals while 3539 are in home isolation. Out of 645 new cases, 119 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 123 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 64 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 13 in cantonments, and 326 in rural areas.

 

Among the 12 deaths, three were in PMC, two were in PCMC, and seven were in rural areas. Out of 1056 discharged patients, 236 were in PMC, 142 were in PCMC, 72 were in municipal councils, 7 were in cantonments, and 599 were in rural areas.
