Pune District Administration To Exchange Anti-COVID Vaccine Old Stock With New Stock

Pune, 8th August 2021: Private hospitals in Pune City, Pimpri Chinchwad and rural areas of Pune District can lend their vaccines to the Pune District administration.

“We shall give back fresh stock as per requirements of the hospitals from 1st September. We will provide a certificate that we have taken vaccines from them. There are 4.61 lakh doses with the private hospitals”, said Pune Zilla Parishad (ZP) CEO Ayush Prasad.

He further added, “The hospitals may send their vaccines to our warehouse in Koregaon Park or contact Dr Sachin Edke, District Immunization Officer, to pick them up from the hospitals. I appeal to private hospitals to come forward and lend us their stock of vaccines.”

Advantage of this program: 

1. Hospitals can get fresh stock as per their demand and avoid the risk of wastage due to the expiry of vaccines

2. Hospitals would not have to store the vaccines.

3. Expedite the vaccination drive.
