978 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District; 26,680 Vaccine Doses Administered
Pune, 6 August 2021: A total of 978 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 1107 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours. Today, a total of 26,680 doses of the COVID vaccine was administered to people in the district.
According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 8918 active patients in the district and 4842 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4076 are in home isolation. Out of 978 new cases, 185 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 220 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 72 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 9 in cantonments, and 492 in rural areas.
Among the 12 deaths, Five were in PMC, three were in PCMC, and four were in rural areas. Out of 1107 discharged patients, 237 were in PMC, 237 were in PCMC, 65 were in municipal councils, 10 were in cantonments, and 558 were in rural areas.
