1294 New COVID Cases Reported In Pune District, 976 Discharged Today

Pune, 9th July 2021: A total of 1294 new Coronavirus disease (COVID19) patients were reported in the Pune district today while 976 people were discharged from hospitals. 12 people succumbed to the deadly virus in the last 24 hours.

According to District Health Officer (DHO) Dr Bhagwan Pawar, there are 10,381 active patients in the district and 5665 of them are admitted to hospitals while 4716 are in home isolation. Out of 1294 new cases, 314 were reported in Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), 254 in Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 98 in municipal councils (Nagar Parishad), 10 in cantonments and 618 in rural areas.

Among the 12 deaths, six were in PMC, one in PCMC,  and five in rural areas. Out of 976 discharged patients, 231 were in PMC, 287 were in PCMC, 134 in municipal councils, 6 in cantonments,  and 318 in rural areas.
