CBSE Board Exam 2022 Syllabus: Next Year’s 10th And 12th Board Examinations Will Be Held With New Strategy
9th July 2021: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has recently announced the special evaluation scheme for the 10th and 12th board examinations for the session 2021-22 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The examination will be divided into two parts. The first term exam will be held in November-December 2021, while the second term exam will be conducted in March-April 2022. This step has received positive responses from students, principals, teachers, and parents of many schools.
CBSE has announced the Special Assessment Scheme for next year’s class 10th and 12th board exams. It has announced to conduct the board examinations of secondary and senior secondary classes on July 5th, 2021, for the academic session 2021-22. The exams will be conducted in two based on of revised syllabus. However, students and teachers still await the revised syllabus. It is expected that the reduced syllabus will be uploaded on the CBSE website soon. Many teachers have expressed an expectation of an ‘effective’ reduction this year instead of the 30 percent reduction in the previous academic year. The syllabus is to be revised by CBSE to accommodate the loss of the academic year in the wake of the pandemic. It will divide the syllabus into two parts. 50% Syllabus will be for Term 1 Exam and 50% Syllabus will be for Term 2 Exam.
Since the announcement of the cut in the syllabus, schools have been eagerly waiting for the new and revised CBSE syllabus for classes 10th and 12th. A maths teacher from a private school said that last year, the board had reduced the syllabus by 30 percent. We had covered almost the entire syllabus last year. This year, however, we expect the entire topic to be removed rather than just a part of it. This will help in speeding up the syllabus and give more time to the teachers to make sense for the student.
At the same time, some teachers also informed that the schools have already completed some chapters and the announcement has brought back the uncertainty. Online classes have been going on for some time now. If there is a reduction in the syllabus then it should be announced as soon as possible. At the same time, many teachers are back in the revised syllabus for class 10th and 12th students released by CBSE for the academic session 2020-21. Teachers are also expecting that the sample papers for the MCQ-based paper pattern will be released along with the syllabus, as the schools have only 4 months to prepare the students.
