Air Vistara Launches Flight On This International Route, Travel Will Be Easy
New Delhi, 8th July 2021: Air Vistara has started operating direct flights between Delhi and Tokyo via Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. The inaugural flight took off from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI Airport) on Wednesday morning and landed at Tokyo’s Haneda Airport. The airline said that the airline’s flight on the Delhi-Tokyo route will operate under the air bubble arrangement between India and Japan.
Scheduled international flights in India have been suspended since March 23 last year due to the Coronavirus epidemic. However, special international flights are operating from May 2020 under the Vande Bharat Mission and from July 2020 under the air bubble arrangement formed with about 27 countries.
A day earlier, Air Vistara announced the expansion of the ‘Freedom Fair’ program. This package allows customers to have additional check-in baggage allowance along with other facilities. The airline’s ‘Freedom Fair’ program is an intuitive, menu-based pricing model, launched in July 2018 that provides services on a ‘pay-for-what-you-value’ basic does.
This offer is effective from July 6, 2021. This ‘Flexi fare can be availed by customers at an additional charge of Rs 499 (per zone). The airline said in a statement that it allows customers to make unlimited changes to their flight bookings up to 24 hours in advance of departure, along with an additional check-in baggage allowance of 5 kg.
Business class customers can opt for ‘Flexi fares at no extra charge and will be able to revise their bookings up to 12 hours before departure. Customers who opt for ‘Economy Lite’ fares will now have more options than before.
