Maharashtra: Business Loan Scheme For SC Family Members Of People Who Died Due To COVID

Pune, 28th June 2021: The Mahatma Phule Backward Classes Development Corporation and the National Scheduled Castes Finance and Development Corporation (NSFDC) New Delhi will be providing support to Scheduled Caste families who have lost the head of their families due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) infection.

The details of the scheme for rehabilitating the family and Support for Marginalized Individuals for Livelihoods Enterprise (SMILE) are as follows:

In the loan scheme, NSFDC’s participation will be 80 per cent, the capital grant will be 20 per cent, the interest rate will be 6 per cent, while the repayment period will be six years for projects costing between Rs 1 lakh and 5 lakh.

Eligibility for the loan scheme is as follows: 

1. Applicants should be from Scheduled Castes, and their annual income should be up to Rs 3 lakh.

2. Applicant’s head of the family should have died due to COVID-19.

3. The income of the deceased must be more than the total income of the family.

 

One of the following documents of the deceased per is required:

a. Death Certificate issued by the municipal corporation/ civic body.

b. Receipt issued by the cemetery authority.

c. Death certificate issued by the Group Development Officer if there is no cemetery in the village.

 

Information required:

Name of the deceased, Address, Aadhaar Card, Proof of Income (up to Rs 3 lakh), Proof of Death (document proving that the deceased died of COVID-19), Ration Card, and Proof of Age.

The above-said information should be filled and submitted at the municipal corporation’s district office, informed the District Manager, Mahatma Phule Backward Classes Development Corporation, Pune.
