Pune Police Raid Illegal Gambling Den In Uruli Kanchan, 60 Persons Booked
Loni Kalbhor, 19th June 2021: The social security cell (SSC) of Pune city police raided a large gambling den in Uruli Kanchan (taluka Haveli) around 4 pm on Friday and seized cash, five motorcycles and gambling materials, totally worth Rs 3.24 lakh.
According to a police report, Anil Jaysingh Kanchan (42), Sanjay Nivrutti Badekar (53), Atul alias Appa Bapusaheb Kanchan (43), and Yogesh alias Bala Sopan Kanchan(40) were running a gambling club in a large shed opposite Bharat Petrol Pump in Khedekar Mala area of Uruli Kanchan on Pune-Solapur Highway.
Upon receiving the input, the SSC and crime branch unit 1 raided the spot. Police have arrested the main accused in this case and an FIR has been filed against a total of 60 people.
