Pune: 14-Years-Old Critically Ill Boy Recovered From COVID19 At Jumbo Covid Hospital

Pune, 18th May 2021: A 14-years-old boy from Karmala in Solapur district who was critically ill with Coronavirus disease, and brought to Pune for treatment a few days ago. He has completely recovered from the illness.

According to the information given by Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the boy Aditya Sonawane was brought to Pune for treatment. His condition was serious and the family had a poor financial condition. The parents tried to get a bed for him in almost all the hospitals in the city, but they did not get it. At last, they came to Jumbo Covid centre and persuaded the official for the treatment of their son. Considering the boy’s condition the administration admitted him to Jumbo Covid centre.

Speaking about this, centre’s Dr Shreyas Kapila said, “Currently only adults get admitted into the centre, but we admitted Aditya here. Initially, his parents told us that Aditya was 16 years old, due to the fear that he won’t be admitted to the jumbo covid centre. He was treated at the HDU ward in the centre. His oxygen level dropped, so we provided oxygen to him at the speed of 15 litres per minute.”

He was treated by Dr Kapale and paediatrician Dr Pratik Katariya. They Got good results of treatment and the boy is now recovered well. He was discharged from the centre on Sunday (16th May).
