Pune, 10th May 2021: In order to bring accountability of staff and monitor Coronavirus Disease (COVID) Appropriate Behaviour in the Khadki area, the cantonment board has come out with an innovative idea.

Khadki Cantonment Board (KCB) CEO Pramod Kumar Singh has ordered the staff on the field to make a WhatsApp video call and show the real-time situation.

“All Section Heads especially who are assigned the duties for maintaining effective Covid Appropriate Behaviour have been instructed to manage and monitor their supervision through their deputed field staff using Whatsapp video calling or other video calling methods through their mobile phone to assess the real-time situation and actual ground reality”, the CEO informed.

According to him, it will help in monitoring multiple locations in a very short period through video calls. This will enable daily monitoring and crowd control in Bazar, observance of social distancing, non-wearing of masks and other COVID protocol by the concerned Section Heads or the officials through video calls.

“This will be useful ineffective monitoring of DCHC/ CCCs/ vaccination centres/swab collection centres/contact tracing and other logistics arrangements like oxygen availability/ food arrangements/ security arrangements at various locations, ambulance availability, and its movement as well as effective observance in Bazar, vegetable/fish/mutton markets and other public places”, the CEO explained.

All Section Heads have been instructed to share the screenshots daily with the CEO who also takes part in the video calling.
