Pune: Now You Can Check Distribution Of Remdesivir Injection In Hospitals On Pune District Collector Website

Pune, 27 April 2021: Remdesivir injections are being distributed hospital-wise for the patients at the rate fixed by the government.

The list of hospitals has been made available on the website of the Collectorate at http://pune.gov.in/corona-virus-updates/, informed Collector Dr Rajesh Deshmukh through a circular.

He said that the hospital administration and drug supplier should take care that there will not be any delay or negligence in the supply. The Covid Hospitals are required to submit the authorization letter and photo identity card of the authorized person to the drug supplier with the signature stamp on the letterhead of the hospital in order to procure the stock of the drug. Ensuring this, the wholesalers should ensure proper distribution of the medicine within the time limit of the order and at a government rate.

The Commissioner, Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has directed to reserve a 10% quota for frontline workers working in the COVID-19 pandemic, such as health services, corporations, municipalities, police, revenue, rural development, urban development, FDA, transport, etc.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), Pune Cantonment Board, Pune Rural, Municipal Council and Nagar Panchayat along with the Commissioner of FDA should ensure timely distribution of medicines and proper utilization of the distributed medicines. Circulars have also been issued instructing the flying squads to ensure the distribution and appropriation as per the distribution schedule and if any irregularities are found, they should take action against the concerned hospital administration/drug suppliers and submit a report.
